ST. MARTIN — It was a clean sweep for visiting Biloxi over St. Martin in the Region 4-7A opener for both schools Tuesday night.
After the Lady Indians marched into St. Martin and completely dismantled the home-standing Lady Yellow Jackets 50-14, the Indians slipped past the SMHS boys 59-52 in overtime.





Biloxi moved to 6-1 overall with the win, as veteran Indian head coach Seber Windham sets his sights on getting his squad back to the overall Class 7A Final Four in Jackson for the second straight season.
St. Martin dropped to 6-6 overall.
The Indians overcame a 14-point deficit early in the second quarter and fought back to force the game into overtime at 47-47 before pulling the game out in the extra session by out-scoring the home team 12-5.





Freshman Christian Gullett paced a balanced BHS scoring attack in the winning effort with 14 points, while Carnellous Lenard chipped in 13 points for the Indians while Jaklyen Edwards added 11 points and Sevaun George had 10 points. Edwards finished with a double-double, as he also pulled down 11 rebounds and Ethan Richburg dished out six assists for BHS.
St. Martin got a game-high 19 points from Gulfport transfer Markel Simmons, and he also had seven boards. R.J. Keys had 12 points nd six steals, while George Norman pulled down a game-high 16 boards for the Yellow Jackets.
