BAY ST. LOUIS — Our Lady Academy is off to a solid start to the new prep basketball season.

The Crescents moved to 10-2 on the current campaign with an impressive 55-35 road win over West Marion late last week in the Region 8-3A opener for both teams.

Taylor Henly tallied a game-high 18 points to pace OLA to the win, while Leah LaPorte added nine points. Both Mariah Galbreath and Krissy Pavolini each had eight points apiece and Valentina Mossy had seven points for the Crescents.

Prior to that big win OLA picked up an equally impressive road decision with a 48-26 win over Gautier earlier in the week last week.

Henley also led the Crescents in that one with a game-high 19 points, while Galbreath added 12 points.

Lauryn Powell scored nine points for the Lady Gators.
