TERRY — It was more of the same for Pascagoula against defending Class 6A state champion Terry Monday afternoon.
The Titans toppled the Panthers 76-60 here in the annual Terry Christmas Classics. It marked the fourth meeting between the two teams in the past 21 months, and Ridgeland has won three of those games, including ending the season for PHS in each of the past two campaigns in Jackson at The Mississippi Coliseum in the overall Class 6A Final Four.

In the latest match-up, Ridgeland led slightly at 9-6 after the first period but thanks to four 3-pointers by the Titans, including a pair Khameron Snow, Ridgeland slowly stretched that advantage to double digits at 24-13 at halftime.
Even a big third period by Pascagoula’s Will Rogers, who had seven points, and Blake Nettles, who added six points, wasn’t enough for the Panthers to cut into the lead by much.
Marquise Williams tallied 19 points to lead the Titans, while Ashton Manuel scored 14 of his 17 points in the second half to keep the Panthers at bay. Josh Dawson added 12 points and Snow chipped in nine points to the winning effort.
Nettles poured in a game-high 23 points to pace Pascagoula, with 18 of those coming in the second half, while Rogers added 21 points for the Panthers. Ireyion Harvey had 10 points for PHS.

Pascagoula’s only win over Ridgeland recently came in a close 60-58 win in the first two weeks of the season last year at a tournament in Jackson. It would be just one of four losses for the Titans last year in a 31-4 state championship season.

The Panthers will now take a brief break for Christmas before heading to Ocean Springs for the inaugural Jackson County Tournament starting Monday. The Panthers take on Daphne (Ala.) in opening round play.
