LYMAN — The Harrison Central girls wrapped up an impressive first half of the current prep basketball campaign Monday afternoon
The Red Rebelettes, under the direction of second-year head coach Sandra Rushing, moved to a sparkling 15-0 with a 65-19 thumping of visiting Picayune. It was the last game of the year for Harrison Central until the calendar flips to 2026.
In addition to the perfect 15-0 mark, the Red Rebelettes are 3-0 in Region 4-7A play as well. Rushing’s crew wrapped up the December part of their league schedule with win over 56-44 and Ocean Springs 52-19 last week before beating Picayune on Monday.


In the road win over the Lady Yellow Jackets, Red Rebelette Dandy Dozen junior standout center Saniyah Murray recorded a double-double with 26 points and 16 rebounds to lead the way. Sophomore Parklyn Floyd chipped in 18 points and five boards to the winning cause, and Autumn Keeler added nine points and had seven assists for HCHS. Jordyn Drane had four steals.
The 6-foot-2 Murray was coming off of a 25 point, 11 boards double-double outing in a 68-18 win over Gulfport to open the region race.
Harrison Central is off until Sat., Jan 3rd when it will face Ingomar on the road at the prestigious “Tangle on the Trail” Tournament in Pontotoc.

The Red Rebelettes ar tied with Biloxi atop the Region 4-7A standings currently. After facing Ingomar, Harrison Central faces West Harrison, Biloxi and D’Iberville in a three game stretch to end the first round of region play.
