BAY ST. LOUIS — The annual Bay High Christmas Tournament is set to start Monday afternoon here at The Tigerdome.
And the host boys team is looking to senior standout Anthony Robinson to lead the Tigers to a couple of wins.
The 28th annual Christmas event will be a two-day affair and will wrap up Tuesday night. There will be four games each day, two boys and two more on the girls side of the ledger. Teams involved are both squads from the host school, as well as the Gautier, Stone, St. Patrick and Collegiate Christian boys teams plus the Gautier, D’Iberville and Lumberton girls teams.

The Bay High boys come in at 7-10 overall, after a big 62-43 win over Poplarville Saturday afternoon at Pearl River Community College.
Robinson tallied a game-high 25 points to pace the Tigers, while A.J. Dunklin added 12 points to the winning effort and Carson Brown had eight points.
It marked the seventh time time this season that Robinson scored 22 points or more in an outing for the Tigers, including four games with 30 or more points.
He poured in a career-high 35 points in a close 62-59 win over Picayune just before Thanksgiving.
The Tigers are in their first year under the direction of new head coach Aaron Dunklin.

Monday’s final game will pit Bay High vs. Stone in what promises to be a battle between a pair of senior stalwarts in Robinson and Tomcat Jabari Moye.

Stone is now 6-9, and is coming off of a 61-38 win over St. Patrick.
Stone got 16 points from Cleon Johnson in that win over the Fighting Irish, and he also had five steals and six assists in that game, while Moye contributed 13 points and nine assists to the winning effort. Brody Farmer finished with 12 points and seven boards.

The Tomcats fell to Resurrection 79-70 in the game prior to that win, and the loss overshadowed an impressive outing from Moye, who poured in a game-high 29 points, grabbed seven boards and dished out seven assists. Classmate Johnson added 20 points for the Tomcats, and freshman Elijah Bostic had 10 points and seven rebounds.

Bay High has been hosting an invitational basketball tournament for over 50 years, but the format changed to a Christmas event in 1998.
