GULF SHORES, Ala. — The Gulfport girls are closing out the 2025 portion of their schedule with some solid play.
The Lady Admirals won their second straight game in a three day span Monday afternoon with a 52-35 decision over Mobile (Ala.) Blount in second round play of the annual Beach Bash taking place here at Gulf Shores High School.
The win moves Gulfport to 11-3 overall, under the direction of head coach Marcus Price.
The Lady Admirals were guided by a balanced scoring attack in the win over Blount, as Trinity Moore, M.J. Avery and Kamyra Rockingham scored 11 points apiece while Alayah Hoyett added 10 points, giving Gulfport four players in double digits.

Gulfport opened play in the annual affair on Saturday with a close 55-52 win over Choctawachee High out of Pensacola, Fla.
In that game, both Moore and Avery had 11 points apiece to pace the Lady Admirals while Hoyett chipped in 10 points to the winning effort.
Gulfport has a chance now to wrap up action in the three day event on Tuesday afternoon by beating a third consecutive opponent from a third different state, as Price’s crew takes on Portland (Tenn.) at 1 p.m., back at Gulf Shore High School.

Another “Southern Six” squad is competing in the three day, 18 game event all girls event that features teams from five different states as well.
But St. Martin wasn’t as fortunate in its first game over the weekend, falling to Chelsea (Ala.) 51-39.
Kaleah Lowery led the Lady Yellow Jackets with 12 points, while Kylenn Ward added 10 points and Kennedi Jenkins had eight points for SMHS.
St. Martin faced St. Paul’s Episcopal out of Mobile, Ala., in second round play late Monday afternoon and then head coach Jason Kennedy’s crew will finish up the 2025 portion of their schedule with a third and final game in The beach Bash on Tuesday.
