D’IBERVILLE — All the D’Iberville boys basketball team needed to end a two-game losing streak was a visit from longtime arch-rival St. Martin. The home-standing Warriors downed the Yellow Jackets 49-37 in Region 4-7A play Tuesday night. The win moves DHS to 10-9 overall and an even 2-2 in league play, while SMHS fell to 11-8 overall and 2-2 in the region race as well. The loss also ended a two game win streak for the Yellow Jackets.

The two teams battled back and fourth through the first three periods, and the Warriors led just slightly at 32-29 entering the fourth period. But D’Iberville went inside to big man Jeremiah Huntley to seal the deal down the stretch, as he registered eight points in the final frame, and Stephon Susczyk added five points, including a 3-pointer, and the Warriors out-scored the Yellow Jackets 17-8 to wrap up the game and close out the win.
