BROOKLYN — The Moss Point girls basketball team is the reigning Region 8-4A champs.
And the Lady Tigers picked up a pair of big league wins this week with their sights set on defending that crown.

Moss Point clipped Forrest County AHS 47-39 on the road Friday night in its latest league outing. That win came on the heels of an exciting 29-27 win over visiting Pass Christian on Tuesday, pushes the Lady Tigers to a perfect 3-0 in the region race and 10-11 overall.
In the win over the Lady Aggies to wrap up the week, Moss Point’s Trinity Magee piled up a game-high 21 points to lead the way for he Lady Tigers. Zaria Nettles added 12 points to the winning cause.
Against the Lady Pirates, Nettles also had 12 points for MPHS in the region win while Kirsten Bailey added seven points.

Moss Point stays on the road and heads to Leakesville Tuesday night in the region race for a rematch with Greene County from the Region 8-4A tournament title tilt last season.
