OCEAN SPRINGS — The St. Martin girls recorded their sixth straight win over neighboring rival Ocean Springs Tuesday night.
The Lady Yellow Jackets rang up a 47-27 road win over the Lady Greyhounds here in Hubbard Gymnasium. The decision moves St. Martin to 13-5 overall and an even 3-3 in Region 4-7A play. The six game win streak dates back to December of 2023.

With the loss, OSHS falls to 12-7 overall and is just 1-5 in the region race. The Lady Greyhounds started the season off at 8-1 under new head coach Jonathan Lawler.
St. Martin got off to a 14-9 lead after the first period, as point guard Kylenn Ward notched eight points, including two 3-pointers, and post product Janilla Curtis added six points as the duo accounted for all of the points in that frame for the Lady Yellow Jackets.
After a low scoring defensive battle in the second period ended with St. Martin up 16-10 at halftime, the Lady Yellow Jackets broke things open in the third quarter as Curtis went back to work down low and scored seven points as the visitors out-scored OSHS 16-1 and took a commanding 32-11 lead into the final frame.

Curtis tallied a game-high 20 points to pace St. Martin to the win, while Ward 13 added 13 points to the winning effort.
Senior standout Starr Jackson scored 13 points to guide the Greyhounds, and she also surpassed the important 1,000 career points milestone in the process. Nyla Newsome had eight points for the Lady Greyhounds also.

St. martin heads to Biloxi Friday night to take on the league-leading Lady Indians, while OSHS remains home to host powerful West Harrison.
