Prep Basketball: Lady Pirates fall in close overtime decision on the road in Brooklyn Tuesday night

BROOKLYN — Visiting Pass Christian came up just short against Forrest County AHS in an exciting Region 8-4A overtime contest Tuesday night.
The Lady Aggies got a basket from Paris Watson in the extra session, which was not only her only points of the game, but the only points in overtime by either team as well, as FCAHS nipped the Lady Pirates 37-35.
The win drops PCHS to 1-3 in the region race and 9-14 overall, as the Lady Aggies pull into third place in the league standings at 2-2 and are now 8-12 overall.

Watson’s lone basket broke the 35-35 deadlock that the two teams sat at after regulation, after a furious fourth quarter rally by Pass Christian forced the overtime.
The Lady Pirates trailed 25-17 after three frames, but PCHS got eight points from Amyah Biggs in the fourth period and out-scored the home team 18-8 in the period to extend the contest.
Both Kelli Mark and Kerrington Mitchell scored 10 points apiece to lead the Lady Aggies to the win.

Biggs paced the Pass with 10 points, while Khloe Vinsonhaler-Bush added nine points for the Lady Pirates.

Pass Christian hosts Moss Point Friday night in region action. The Lady Tigers, the defending league champs, stand 4-1 in the region race after a 43-33 road win over Bay High Tuesday night.
