BAY ST. LOUIS — St. Stanislaus rolls into the final week of the regular season an impressive 22-4 overall as well as 6-0 in Region 8-3A.

However, the Rock-A-Chaws still have some work left to do.

St. Stanislaus is just ahead of Presbyterian Christian in the region race, as the Bobcats sit at 6-1 in league play. Those two teams will meet Thursday here in Brother Peter gymnasium on the campus of SSC in the regular season and region finale for both teams.

Before that, though, the Rocks will take on visiting West Marion in region play Tuesday night. The Trojans are 14-6 overall and sit at 4-3 and in third place in the region race.

St. Stanislaus is coming off of a hard-fought 50-41 win over Tylertown late last week.

The Rocks got 17 points and eight rebounds from Dandy Dozen senior standout big man Max Baria in the winning effort, and SSC junior stalwart point guard Rafael Cohen chipped in 10 points and eight assists. Alan Gilliam added eight points for SSC.

Meanwhile, Presbyterian Christian hosts Picayune Tuesday night in preparation for the trip to St. Stanislaus later this week.

The Rocks slipped past the Bobcats 48-40 three weeks ago in Hattiesburg to tip off region play for both teams.
