BILOXI — OLA may be headed into the Region 8-3A Tournament this week as the second seed, but the Crescents are coming off one of their biggest wins of the season.
The small school from Bay St. Louis registered an exciting 48-44 win over visiting Presbyterian Friday night in league play to wrap up the regular season.
Crescent super sophomore standout Taylor Henley poured in a game-high 31 points to pave the way to the win for OLA. Leah Laporte chipped in eight points to the winning cause.

OLA is 19-7 overall, and takes on West Marion in region tourney action here at St. Patrick High Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m.
Meanwhile, PCS is the top seed in the event and stands at 18-9 overall.
Before the Lady ‘Cats dropped that game to OLA, which was their only league loss of the season, they knocked off visiting Class 6A foe Picayune three days prior.

PCS slipped past Picayune 44-38, as Jules Sherer had 10 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, and Lucy McArthur also scored 10 points.
Picayune got a game-high 20 points from junior stalwart Laikyn Moore, and Rhyen Goss added 11 points and four assists. Araybia Magee had six rebounds also
Picayune plays Tuesday in the Region 4-6A Tournament in Pascagoula.
