MOSS POINT — The Bay High boys are back in the Class 4A South State playoffs again.
The Tigers thumped home-standing Moss Point 69-37 Monday night in the opening round of the Region 8-4A Tournament here at Arthur Haynes Gym. The win moves BHS to 13-15 overall and into the tourney semifinals Tuesday afternoon at 5:30 p.m., against top seed Pass Christian.





The decision also ensures Bay a berth in the upcoming state playoffs under the direction of first-year head coach Aaron Dunklin.
A.J. Dunklin led BHS with a game-high 18 points, while Jaxson Meranto chipped in 15 points to the winning effort and Carson Brown added 12 points. Anthony Robison had 10 points also, as the visitors placed four players in double digits.
Moss Point got 15 points from Andru Burkes. Both Jeremiah Smith and Michael Gill had eight points apiece for the home team als.o.
Moss Point finishes the season at 3-26 overall.
