PASCAGOULA — The Pearl River Central boys are back in the Classs 6A South State playoffs for the second straight season.

The Blue Devils bounced Gautier 62-47 Monday night in the opening round of the Region 4-6A Tournament. The win pushed PRC to 13-11 on the season, and assured head coach Scott Stephen’s squad of a spot in the upcoming playoffs next week.

PRC got 10 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, from senior standout J.J. Feaster in the first quarter to get going.

His brother younger, Titus Feaster, scored 12 points through the first three periods, including eight in the third frame, as the Blue Devils headed into the final period up 35-24 and never looked back.

Just for good measure, PRC’s Ben Duhon tallied all 15 of his points in the second half, including 11 in the fourth quarter, as the Blue Devils rolled to the important win.

Titua Feaster paced PRC with 19 points in the win, while J.J. Feaster added 17 points and Duhon had those 15 points in the winning effort.

Gautier got 11 points from Evan Smith, 10 points from Fred Davis and nine points from Aiden Isom in the loss, as the Gators ended the season at 11-17.

PRC fell to top seed Pascagoula Tuesday night in the semifinal round, and will open the Class 6A South State playoffs on the road. But first, the Blue Devils will face arch-rival Picayune in the consolation contest at 7:30 p.m., Thursday night.
