D’IBERVILLE — The Biloxi boys basketball team accomplished a couple of goals Wednesday night in the semifinals of the Region 4-7A Tournament.
First off, the Indians knocked off Ocean Springs in the final game of a busy 10 contest, three day span, 66-53 to clinch yet another 20 win season.
And, Biloxi ensured itself of a chance to play for the league championship in the title tilt Friday night against arch-rival Gulfport.

But, and perhaps most importantly, the Indians made sure that the final playoff push for veteran head coach Seber Windham would begin at home next week in the upcoming Class 7A South State playoffs.
The Indians got 12 points from guard Kentrell Beasley in the first half as well as 11 points from his backcourt mate Carnellous Lenard in the second quarter alone, to build up a solid first half lead that it would never relinquish to ground the Greyhounds. The win makes BHS 20-6 overall as they await the rematch with the top-seed and defending region champ Admirals to end the week.

The Greyhounds fall to 17-11, and will face West Harrison in the consolation contest at 7:30 p.m., Thursday night.
The Indians got a game-high 26 points out of Beasley, as he also hit 8-of-11 free throws down the stretch in the fourth frame to seal the deal. Lenard chipped in 15 points to the winning cause, and Elevenis Davis added 11 points for the Indians.
Jacolby Bailey, the standout linebacker on the OSHS football squad, had 16 points for OSHS and Jeremie Packer had 14 points.
Windham, the head coach of the Indians for over 20 years, is stepping down from his post at the endx of the season.
