OCEAN SPRINGS — Ocean Springs senior standout Starr Jackson is the “Southern Six Senior Spotlight” sponsored by Burnham Drugs this week.

Each week of the school year, we here at SouthMiss6 Sports along with Burnham Drugs will highlight a deserving student/athlete in the “Southern Six”.

Jackson was a four-year starter for the Lady Greyhounds, and just wrapped up her career earlier this week in the Region 4-7A Tournament.

She led OSHS in scoring each of the past three seasons, and averaged almost 16 points per game this year for the Lady Greyhounds along with four steals and three assists.

Jackson tallied a game-high 16 points Monday in a 52-35 win over D’Iberville on the opening day of the region tournament, and she followed that up with a team-high 14 points in a quarterfinal round loss to West Harrison on Tuesday.
