D’IBERVILLE — The Biloxi Lady Indians (28-1) overcame a late Harrison Central (24-5) rally before pulling away for a 35-29 7A Region 4 championship win on Friday.
Biloxi led by 9 points to open the fourth quarter at 24-15, but the Harrison Central Lady Red Rebels would go on a 12-4 run to open the fourth quarter to trail by one point at 28-27 with just over three minutes remaining in the game. But from there Biloxi would regroup, closing out the quarter on a 7-2 run.

Nia Shannon responded with a 3-pointer. Jayla Carriere would sink a 5-footer, and Aubrey Madden would sink two of four free throws to close out the Lady Indians’ scoring.
Saniyah Murray would close out the Lady Red Rebels scoring on a rebound and putback.
Biloxi head coah Devin Hill had no comment after the game,
“I thought we played hard,” said Lady Red Rebels coach Sandra Rushing. “We rallied. Biloxi beat us by 40 last time. I saw some growth. We’re still a very young team. Our inexperience showed tonight down the stretch.
“You have to be in this situation to learn from it,” said Rushing. “Biloxi has been here. It was important for us to get our girls here. We got off the bus this time. I’m very proud of the effort and the improvement. We’ve got a long way to go, but we get to host.”

Harrison Central was led by Krista Clarke with 10 points.
Biloxi was led by Na’Kenya Terry with 11 points. Dandy Dozen center Zaniya Johnson added eight points to the winning effort, and Shannon ended up with 7 points.
Both Biloxi and Harrison Central will host first-round playoff games next week.
