PASS CHRISTIAN — Pass Christian is head back to the Class 4A South State Quarterfinals round for the third straight season.
The Pirates bounced by visiting Mendenhall 48-41 Saturday night, marking the 12th straight win for PCHS. Head coach Robin Sikes crew is now 22-10 overall, as they head to Perkinston Friday to face Morton on the campus of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College with a berth in the overall Class 4A Final Four on the line.

Once again, the Pirate super senior dynamic duo of big man Kyran Laneaux and Dandy Dozen guard Landon Hall led the Pass to the win as they combined for 32 points and 21 rebounds in the winning effort.
Laneaux posted yet another double-double with game-high totals of 18 points and 12 rebounds, while Hall had 14 points and nine boards just missing out on a double-double of his own. Ellic Laneaux had seven points and Amari James six 6 points also.

Meanwhile, Morton went on the road and upset Lawrence County 43-34 Saturday night. The Panthers are now 19-8 overall with the win.
This will mark the second straight season that Pass Christian and Morton will meet in the Class 4A South State Quarterfinal round. Last season, in the first meeting on the hardwood between the two teams in 12 years, the Panthers ended the season for the Pirates with a close 38-32 decision in Poplarville on the campus of Pearl River Community College.
