RAYMOND — It’s been a historic season for the OLA basketball team.
And the Crescents made sure that it continued Thursday night.
OLA thrashed Jefferson County 51-37 here at Raymond High in the Class 3A South State Quarterfinal round. The win moved the Crescents to a solid 24-7 overall, but more importantly sends OLA into the overall Class 3A Final Four next week at The Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson.

OLA sophomore standout Taylor Henley tallied a game-high 23 points to lead the way to the win. And while she was taking care of things inside and from short-range, her teammate guard Krissi Pavollini was taking care of business from the perimeter with some long range accuracy.
Up 11-1 after the first frame, thanks to five points from Henley, Pavolinni drained a pair of 3-pointers in the second stanza and Henley dropped in eight more points as the Crescents took complete control heading into halftime up 29-11 and never looked back.

The versatile, multi-sport stalwart Henley went 11-of-13 from the free throw line in her impressive performance for OLA. Leah Laporte added seven points to the winning effort, while both Mariah Broughton and Pavollini had six points apiece.
Jefferson County ends the year at 27-4.
