BILOXI — D’Iberville snatched the Tomahawk Cup back from neighborhood rival Biloxi 9-5 Friday night.

But that win, here at Keesler Federal Park in Day two action of the 10th annual Battle at the Beach, was only part of the story.

The win also counted in the Region 4-7A standings for the two teams as the Warriors completed a three game sweep of the Indians Saturday afternoon, exploding for 10 runs in the bottom of the fourth frame, and grab a 13-7 decision as well and move to 10-1 overall and 5-1 in the region race.
Biloxi dropped to 0-6 in the loop and 1-10 overall.

But it was Houston Holmes who provided the biggest blow of the game for D’Iberville, as his grand slam was the highlight in that fourth frame explosion that broke open a tight 3-1 DHS lead at that point. Carter Naron had a two-run double to end the uprising for the Warriors.
Both Cayden Einhaus and Adam Rugg posted a co-game-high three hits apiece for Biloxi, while Jordan May drove in a game-high four runs also.
