Prep Baseball: Resurrection is off to an unusual 0-15 start this season

PASCAGOULA — Resurrection baseball is off to its worst start in baseball as a member of the Mississippi High School Activities Association in over 20 years.
The Eagles fell to 0-15 overall with a 16-6 loss on the road to St. Stanislaus Saturday. That decision followed the opening week of league play for RCS, in which Stringer swept a pair of Region 8-1A games from the Eagles.

Brock Brown led RCS offensively in the loss to the Rocks, with two hits and he also drove in a pair of runs. Collin McCormick also had two RBI’s, and Sully May scored two runs for the Eagles.
The Eagles cored five of their runs to actually take a brief 5-4 lead, thanks in large part to a two-un single from Brown and an RBI-single by May. However, the Rocks, who scored four runs in the botto of the second to take that 4-0 lead, then responded immediately with six more runs in the bottom of the fourth to re-take the advantage at 10-5 and cruise to their second win over RCS in two weeks.

Porter Jordan took the loss for RCS.

PCS pitcher Wyatt Schnoor took the tough luck loss in a 3-1 defeat on the road to Stringer Friday night, as he worked six solid stanzas of four-hit ball striking out nine in the process.

In the series opener, a 5-2 loss at home Tuesday to the Red Devils, Bryson Daams drove in both runs for RCS.
The Eagles return to region play this week, hitting the road to Taylorsville Tuesday night.
