Prep Baseball: Warriors sweep away Red Rebels with walk-off win Saturday afternoon

D’IBERVILLE — After three weeks of play in Region 4-7A, no other team has as many league wins as D’Iberville does.
The Warriors moved to a solid 8-1 in the region race, as well as 13-3 overall with a 5-4 walk-off win over visiting Harrison Central Saturday afternoon. The decision gave D’iberville a sweep of the three game series and dropped the Red Rebels to 0-9 in league play.
Ayden Demoran singled home Griffin Allen with no outs and two on in the bottom of the seventh for the game-winner for the Warriors.

D’Iberville managed just five hits in earning the win, and Bransyn White had a double while Cannan West drove in two runs in the winning effort.
Jackson Ulmer picked up the pitching win with just over three frames of relief work for DHS.
Bubba Harris went the distance on the hill for HCHS and took the loss.
Kolton Beard posted a game-high two hits for the Red Rebels while Kash Lawrence drove in all of the HCHS runs with a game-high four RBIs.

On Friday night, in a 12-5 DHS win in Lyman, the Warriors banged out 16 hits to take game two.
Carter Naron collected three hits for DHS, while Demoran, Ayden Toncrey, Jaylan Johnson and Chan Harvey all had two hits apiece and West also drove in two in that win. West, Johnson, Demoran and Naron each had a double, and Allen posted a triple.
Corbin Smith, one of a trio of Warrior hurlers, earned the win.

Hunter Gullett took the loss for HCHS.
Alex Moody had three hits for the Red Rebels, and both Parish Laiche and Nashon Plummer each drove in two runs apiece.
Ocean Springs sits aside D’Iberville atop the region race at 6-0, and Gulfport is 5-1.
