BILOXI — Randy McCrory is the new head boy’s basketball coach at Biloxi High.
McCrory has been a member of the Biloxi High basketball coaching staff for the past six seasons, serving as the head coach of the freshmen team as well as the assistant varsity basketball coach under long-time head coach Seber Windham.
During McCrory’s tenure at Biloxi, the Indians made three MHSAA Final Four appearances and have won four district championships. He replaces the legendary Windham, who stepped down at the end of the season earlier this month.

Windham and McCrory helped lead the Indians to back-to-back appearances in The Big House in Jackson at the overall Class 7A final Four each of the past two seasons.
It will be McCrory’s third stint as a head coach on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, after serving in the same capacity at Bay High for eight seasons where he guided the Tigers to eight state playoff appearances (2013-2020), four consecutive district championships (2017-2020), and was named MHSAA District Coach of the Year in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
Just like his time at Bay High, McCrory is replacing his mentor on the bench in Biloxi.

He took over at Bay High for Kelton Thompson, after serving as an assistant coach under Thompson after Thompson led the Tigers to the Class 4A state title in 2010.
McCrory was also the head coach at St. Patrick High for a brief time prior to arriving at Bay High.
McCrory grew up in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, and played college basketball at both Southeastern Louisiana University and William Carey University.

Biloxi’s season and Windham’s career as head coach came to an end in the semifinal round of the 7A state tournament, as Starkville held off two second half Indian surges on its way to a 37-27 win in the Class 7A semifinals.

Starkville went on to win the state title.
McCrory had been in the mix for several head coaching jobs in the “Southern Six” over the past couple years, and has now landed his next head coaching post.
