WIGGINS — Versatile D’Iberville junior Ayden Demoran gets the “Baria Law Firm Game Ball of the Week” this week.

Every week throughout the end of the school year, we will honor student/athletes across the “Southern Six” with our “Game Ball of the Week” sponsored by David Baria, Attorney-Mediator.

Demoran has been solid all around in all three phases of the game so far this season for the Warriors, as he has made contributions at the plate, on the mound and around the infield in helping DHS to a solid 15-5 record and a second place spot in Region 4-7A at 9-3.

Over the past week, Demoran picked up a pitching win in a complete game, one run outing, striking out 11 in a 5-1 league win over St. Martin last week and then punched out two in just one frame of work in a 14-2 win over Bay High Tuesday night.

Also, he has eight hits in that same span, including registering a pair of three-hit worksheets against the Yellow Jackets last week in the process, that included three doubles and four RBIs and he followed that up with another double vs. Bay High Tuesday night in that thumping of the Tigers.

He holds down the shortstop spot in the infield when he’s not on the mound as well.

Demoran and his Warriors travel to Bay High Thursday night to complete that series, before resuming region action with a battle for supremacy against league-leading Ocean Springs in Region 4-7A next week.
