BAY ST. LOUIS — D’Iberville is headed for a two week stretch in Region 4-7A play that will tell the tale of where the Warriors will open the upcoming Class 7A South state playoffs later this week. But first, head coacg Brent Martin’s DHS squad tuned up for that key span in fine fashion with two big wins over Bay High this week.

D’Iberville toppled the Tigers 14-2 at home on Tuesday in four frames, and repeated that beat down of Bay 14-1 on the road Thursday night. The Warriors move to 16-5 overall with the pair of wins, and the Tigers are struggling at 3-19. In game one, Drew Davis led DHS with a game-high three hits, including a double, while Ayden Toncrey had a game-high three RBIs and two hits, including a double. Carter Naron added a pair of hits, including a home run, and he drove in two runs. Kaiden Allen took the win for the Warriors on the hill. Brayden Pepperman took the loss for the Tigers. He also had two hits for BHS.

On Thursday, both Naron and Jaylen Johnson both smacked home runs for the Warriors, while Naron ended up with a game-high three RBIs and Demoran had two hits, including a double. Both Clayton Dobson and Houston Holmes each posted a double for DHS. Brodie Marlowe picked up the pitching win. Brennan Bllich had two hits for Bay High. Tucker Monti took the loss.
