George County nipped the home-standing Lady Hawks 4-3 to seal the match-up, moving to a solid 26-6 overall and on to face PRC in the Class 6A South State finals starting Thursday in Lucedale. Addisyn Chavers walked to lead off the top of the seventh stanza for GCHS, and later came around to score what would prove to be the game-winning run on an error by the Lady Hawks. The Lady Rebels managed just six hits in the winning effort, with super senior standout Addison Davis leading the way with a third of them. Both Blakely Slay and Kyleigh Howell each posted a double in the winning effort, and Slay drove in two runs.

McKinlee Campbell suffered the tough luck loss for the home team, also tossing a complete game. Kenleigh McIver had two hits for Hancock, including a double, as the Lady Hawks finished the season up at 14-11-1.
