HATTIESBURG — The season could end for the two remaining prep softball squads left standing in the “Southern Six” on Thursday night.

Or, maybe not.

Both Ocean Springs and George County face must-win situations in their respective game two affairs here at The University of Southern Mississippi Softball Complex in the overall state tournament.

On Tuesday, in Class 6A, the defending state champion Lady Rebels fell to South Panola 5-3 in Class 6A. On Wednesday, in Class 7A, the Lady Greyhounds lost to Hernando 10-4.
