OCEAN SPRINGS — Grammy Award winner Jimmy Hall, longtime lead singer of Southern Rock legends Wet Willie, is coming to Ocean Springs in November.

Hall and his band will make its first appearance ever at The Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Center on Sun., Nov .22th as part of Grand Mag Music’s ongoing “Friends of Buffett” concert series”>

Tickets are already on sale at www.grandmagmusic.com. Both Buffett and Hall grew up in nearby Mobile, Ala., and they did quite a few shows together over the years.

Hall is best known for being a founding member of the Mobile, Ala., Southern Rock legends Wet Willie,  the band which he still fronts to this day.

As the lead singer/harmonica/sax player for Wet Willie, he was the voice behind that huge hit that he co-wrote entitled “Keep on Smiling”, as well as many others including “Dixie Rock”, “Weekend”, “Street Corner Serenade” and “Country Side of Life”.

But Hall also toured extensively with Jeff Beck, with Hank Williams Jr., and Dickey Betts and was briefly part of the Nighthawks and was part of the supergroup BHLT (Dickey Betts, Jimmy Hall, Chuck Leavell and Butch Trucks).  He adapts easily whether the genre is Rhythm & Blues, Rock, Country, or Southern Rock, always with a soulful influence. 

In fact, his appearance in Ocean Springs comes on the heels of a nationwide tour of America with Bochepus as part of the “Rock the Country 2026” Tour.

Over the past five decades, Hall has toured all over the world and pleased crowds in many different countries, but always stayed true and close to his Southern roots.

His songs have been recorded by Gregg Allman, Jason Isbell, The Marshall Tucker Band, Blackberry Smoke, The Amazing Rhythm Aces, Johnny Russell, and many others.

In addition, Jimmy was invited to join Rock royalty sons Devon Allman and Duane Betts for the Allman Family Revival, a tribute to Gregg and Duane Allman`s music. He will rejoin that annual tour immediately after his show at The Mary C.
