We’ll take a look at some “By the Numbers” this week before we get to the weekly poll:
The train rolls on for Poplarville senior standout running back Ty Keys.
Keys, the University of commit, ran for 167 yards and scored five touchdowns in a 49-32 win over visiting Hancock Friday night. His worksheet for getting into the end zone over the past four seasons is now at 89 total, 87 on the ground and two more through the air.

He now stands just 32 more touchdowns away from tying the all-time total touchdowns record for prep football in the state of Mississippi. That mark is 121 which, is held by Jason McNair of the Mt. Olive McNair’s.
Keys and his Hornets are off to a fast 3-0 start to the young season, as they welcome in county rival Pearl River Central in a battle of unbeatens Friday night.
