ST. MARTIN — A pair of standout sophomore skill position players from St. Martin get the “Baria Law Firm Game Ball of the Week” this week.

Every week throughout the end of the school year, we will honor student/athletes across the “Southern Six” with our “Game Ball of the Week” sponsored by David Baria, Attorney-Mediator.

Yellow Jacket quarterback Dawsen Sullivan and his twin brother and favorite target Dawsey Sullivan both came up big in a 45-14 win over visiting Stone last week.

The Yellow Jackets, which moved to a solid 3-0 with the win, wasted no time in jumping out to a commanding 42-7 lead at halftime and set in place the running clock for the entire second half.

In that decisive first half, sophomore signal-caller Dawsen Sullivan made all the difference as he accounted for five of the six Yellow Jacket touchdowns over the first two quarters.

Sullivan twice hooked up with his brother Dawsey Sullivan on touchdown tosses, and Dawsen Sullivan also ran for three scores as well. A 20-yard scoring strike from brother-to-brother made it 27-0 with 6:33 to play in the second stanza, and that came just after an almost an hour weather delay. He also hit his brother with 33-yard scoring strike in the first frame.

The quarterback finished 15-of-18 passing for 214 yards with two touchdowns and had seven carries for 153 yards and three touchdowns

The wide out had five catches for 92 yards and the two scores
