Prep Football: St. Martin hammers Hancock 42-14

KILN — St. Martin hammered Hancock 42-14 Friday night here at Brett Favre Field.
The visiting Yellow Jackets jumped out to a commanding 42-7 halftime lead, and cruised to their fourth straight win to open the new season. The Hawks fall to 1-3.

St. Martin sophomore signal-caller Dawsen Sullivan was a perfect 14-of-14 through the air, for 164 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran the ball nine times for 100 yards and one more score, while Seth Crockett added a trio of scoring runs to the winning cause.
Crockett was also the recepient of one of Dawsen Sullivan’s touchdown tosses, while the other went to his brother Dawsey Sullivan. Charlie Summers also ran for a touchdown.

Yellow Jacket place-kicker Warren Jalanivich was dead solid perfect on all seven extra point attempts.
Hancock quarterback Justin Wedgeworth threw for 253 yards and one TD with two interceptions.
Coleton Hopgood ran for one score, and Jasper Plott hauled in the touchdown toss from Wedgeworth.
