There were plenty of treats and no tricks for a pair of “Southern Six” squads in their respective region play on Halloween Eve.
Both Pearl River Central and Stone clinched state playoff berths with key wins Friday night.
The visiting Blue Devils dismantled Long Beach 49-10 in Region 4-6A action.
PRC junior standout signal-caller Titus Feaster accounted for six touchdowns in leading his team to the win, as the Blue Devils move to 6-3 overall and 2-2 in the region race.

Feaster ran for four scores and threw for two more, with both of the scoring strikes going to running back Caden Hinton. Brayden Fowler added a scoring run to the winning cause as well.
Long Beach fell to 4-5 overall and 1-3 in the league standings with the loss.
PRC is headed back to the state playoffs for the second straight season, after snapping a nine year drought last season.

Meanwhile, Stone fought off visiting Northeast Jones 14-7 in overtime in Region 4-5A play.
The Tomcats, the defending league champions, assured themselves of a return trip to the playoffs with the big win and also moved to 5-4 overall and an even 2-2 in the region race.
With the score tied at 7-7 at the end of regulation, Stone got the ball to open the extra session and the home team wasted no time in making somethig happen.
On the first play of OT, Tomcat freshman quarterback Kai Wortham nailed wide out Matthew Hendry with a 10-yard touchdown toss for what proved to be the game-winning points.
Then, with Northeast Jones facing a fourth-and-goal at the stone 1-yard line, a host of Stone defenders turned Tiger quarterback Eli Collins away on a quarterback sneak to seal the deal.
