One of the most important games between these two neighborhood rivals in quite some time takes place Thursday night in a key Region 4-7A contest in which boths teams are looking to solidify a spot in the upcoming Class 7A South State playoffs.

The Greyhounds have qualified for a berth in the postseason for the past eight seasons, but need a win and some help to extend that streak to nine. The Yellow Jackets are looking to finish as either the third or fourth seed in the loop.

St. Martin is looking to qualify for the state playoffs for the first time in eight years as well. The Yellow Jackets are 7-2 overall and 3-2 in the region race, while OSHS is 3-6 overall and 2-3 in the loop.

St. Martin hasn’t beaten OSHS since 2017.
